Want to know the best Pokémon for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Charizard Raid?
There is no chance of encountering a Charizard in the wilderness of Paldea, but it will appear during the Tera Raid event as Dragon as its Tera Type, giving players a chance to catch the mighty Fire-type Pokémon.
That said, it isn't a simple task to catch Charizard. With a high Special Attack stat and more than 8 possible moves, this Dragon is one powerful Tera Pokémon. You’ll need a level 100 Pokemon and some serious strategy to catch Charizard.
With that in mind, let's look at the best Pokémon for the Charizard Raid.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Charizard Raid Best Pokémon
Fairy-type Pokémon are the best counters for Dragon Charizard since they are entirely immune to Dragon-type attacks. Azumarill, Sylveon and Dachsbun are the best Pokémon that you can use to counter Dragon Charizard in the Raid.
Using Azumarill and Sylveon as attackers and Dachsbun for support is the most effective strategy to topple Charizard. With that in mind, let's see how to train and prepare these Pokémon for the Charizard Raid.
Azumarill is a Water and Fairy Type Pokémon that is excellent against Fire and Dragon-type Pokémon, making it the perfect choice to fight Charizard. Azumarill’s ability, Huge Power means that your Attack stat will be doubled.
It is highly recommended to give Azumarill an Adamant Mint to maximize its Attack stat. Also, Azumarill should hold a Shell Bell so that it is healed according to the tremendous damage it will be dealing with as Belly Move may cause it to lose half of its HP.
Dachsbun is a Fairy-type Pokémon, which makes it immune to Dragon moves. Its ability, Well-Baked Body, means that it takes no damage when hit by Fire-type moves. Instead, its Defence stat is sharply boosted.
To increase its base Attack and HP stat, buy some Protein and HP Up from Chansey Supply. Also, we recommend you give Dachsbun an Adamant Mint before the Charizard Raid to maximize its Attack stat.
Sylveon is is a fascinating alternative. This Fairy-type Pokémon can raise its own Sp. Attack with Calm Mind and lower the enemy's Sp. Defense with Fake Tears, making it a complete unit.
If you can hit Hyper Beam with Sylveon, you can take down Charizard in a single blow. A party of Azumarills, Daschbuns and Sylveons will get the job done quickly.
