Call of Duty: Warzone is an absolute giant in the realm of FPS games. But in terms of error codes, it can sometimes be a bit of a mess. Memory Error 1766 is an example of this.

How to fix Warzone Memory Error 1766
There are a few possible fixes that have been suggested, which seem to have worked for other players:
- Firstly, try to ensure there are no games or apps open in the background
- Clear the MAC address. To do this:
- Open the Xbox Guide by pressing the guide button on the controller and select Settings.
- Select Network Settings.
- Select Advanced Settings.
- Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address.
- Select Clear.
- Allow the console to restart when prompted.
- For some players, turning off HDR seems to have been effective
- Other players have also reported that limiting the resolution to 1080p has also stopped this error from returnin
At this stage, none of these fixes seems to be an absolute slam dunk. But they are all worth trying, as other players have found that their issues appear to have been resolved. Alternatively, given that Activision is aware of the issue, you can wait for the next patch to arrive and hopefully fix it once and for all.

Why does Warzone keep crashing?
Since Warzone Season 3: Reloaded was released in May, Memory Error 1766 seems to have become much more common than it was previously.
It is, unfortunately, a fairly common pattern with COD games; an update or new content is released, and it leads to a torrent of glitches and errors, that take time to be ironed out.
On this occasion, Activision has at least listed it as a "known issue" that is under investigation or has a fix scheduled. But they say little else, to shed light on the situation.
Error 1766 (or 0-1766, to give it its full name) is a pretty major issue. It causes the game to crash, kicks players out of their games, and on some occasions, will cause a player's Xbox to shut down.
