We've all been there. You've purchased a game or downloaded a demo, played it, and didn't like it, so now you want to delete it. But is this even something you can do in your Google Stadia library? Or are you destined to have a forever growing library of things you might not even want?

Google Stadia
If you didn't already know, Stadia is Google's gaming platform, which allows you to stream games directly to a compatible device. It removes the need to download or install games and their updates.
Launched back in November 2019, Stadia supports games in up to 4k resolution at 60 fps. Earlier this year, Google announced that they were closing down their own in-house game studios, and switching focus to being a platform for third-party games.
Can I delete games from my Stadia library?
At the time of writing, it is not possible to delete games from your Google Stadia library.
The Stadia community pages are littered with people asking this very question, only to be told by their peers that they've been asking for this for a long time, and there still isn't the option to delete unwanted games. You would think that this would be a fairly basic feature to introduce, to give players control of what's in their library. But apparently Google knows best.
So in theory, no, you cannot delete games from your library. But wait. There is light at the end of the tunnel. It isn't perfect, but it is out there.

Stadia+ Extension
If you are really desperate to remove those unwanted games from view, then you do have the option of installing the Stadia+ browser extension. Stadia+ is an open source Chrome extension which was designed to improve upon the base features that are available on Stadia. Because it is a browser extension, it won't work on the app, and can only be used on a computer.
But the benefits may well outweigh the inconvencience. The Stadia+ extension gives you the option to filter your library, so you will be able to hide anything you no longer wish to see. It's the solution Stadia deserves, but not the one it needs right now. Or something like that.
