Destiny 2 has been constantly improving ever since it released.

Now that there's new hardware to utilise as well, things are bound to only keep getting better when you consider the power of the Xbox Series X and PS5.

Well, you can now upgrade your old console version into the new one, but you'll need to know how to od so first.

So, here's how to upgrade your PS4 version of Destiny 2 to the PS5 version of the game.

How to upgrade Destiny 2 to the PS5 version

There seems to be a few issues for people upgrading PS5 games at the moment, and despite the Destiny 2 upgrade now being available, it can be a little tricky to find.

So, what you need to do is head to Destiny 2 on your PS5 on the PSN Store.

From here, you need to click on the three dots and then choose PS5 Upgrade. Keep in mind that if you don't have the game installed then the chances are that you'll end up downloading both the PS4 and PS5 version of the game.

You can tell which version you have because the PS4 version of the game will be called Destiny 2 | PS4. It's a rather strange situation, but that's where we are with things.

What's in the new update?

In short, this update adds in a lot of things for the next-gen versions of the games, like the existence of the next-gen versions of the games. It also adds in things like Field of View sliders for a more customisable experience.

You can now also acquire bounties using the companion app, which is a nice touch that should speed things up for people.

Other than that, there's an awful lot of bug fixes and balancing stuff, which isn't as exciting.
