MetaBomb.net reports that there is a relatively easy fix to this issue, at least if you’re playing on PC. We’ll break down the PC fix for you now…
Step 1: Type the letters CMD into your Windows search bar. This will bring up the Command Prompt interface, which you can open as a System Administrator.
Step 2: Once you’re into Command Prompt, type in “sfc /scannow” and press enter on your keyboard. Windows will run some tests and then restart your PC – make sure you’ve saved any files before you do this!
Step 3: When your computer starts up again, you should be able to load up Fortnite and start playing as normal! If this doesn’t work, you might want to try uninstalling Fortnite and then downloading it afresh.
Step 4: Check the Fortnite server status, because it might not be you – it could be a temporary problem with the Epic network! In which case, maybe go and make a cuppa and wait for this to all blow over?
