Step 1: Type the letters CMD into your Windows search bar. This will bring up the Command Prompt interface, which you can open as a System Administrator.

Step 2: Once you're into Command Prompt, type in “sfc /scannow” and press enter on your keyboard. Windows will run some tests and then restart your PC - make sure you've saved any files before you do this!

Step 3: When your computer starts up again, you should be able to load up Fortnite and start playing as normal! If this doesn't work, you might want to try uninstalling Fortnite and then downloading it afresh.
