Aquaman 2 star Patrick Wilson teases the sequel is better in every way

Warner Bros' DC Extended Universe is kicking off its new phase. With the release of Wonder Woman 1984, the next step of the DC movies is going full steam ahead. Part of the next generation of DC movies is Aquaman 2, which could be better in every way than its predecessor.

Aquaman 2 is better in every way

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ocean Master actor Patrick Wilson hyped up the sequel. With James Wan returning for the fishy film sequel, Wilson expressed his excitement for what Aquaman 2 will be.

The actor explained that the sequel will be “bigger and better and broader" than the entirety of the first film. On top of that, the sequel is allegedly funnier than the sequel in every way. The actor explained:

“With James, when he comes back for a sequel, it becomes bigger and better and broader and more funny, more action, more character work. It's super fun."

The future of DC movies

Warner Bros has a huge future ahead for DC movies. However, the already established SnyderVerse seems to be on shaky ground. For starters, SnyderVerse team-up movies like Justice League will not happen going forward.

With that said, solo adventures like Wonder Woman 3, Aquaman 2 and Shazam 2 are currently in the works. On top of that, Warner Bros is working on a Black Adam movie, a new Batman film with Robert Pattinson and a Superman reboot.

The future is bright for DC on film, and also extremely confusing. Perhaps, one day, fans will get a SnyderVerse continuation to see Zack Snyder's planned trilogy.
