Marvel Studios’ upcoming revival of the Fantastic Four is hotly anticipated by fans of the long-running MCU. Following Disney's purchase of 20th Century Fox, the rights of Marvel's most fantastic characters can finally be part of their movie universe.
There's already been multiple on-screen versions of the Fantastic Four team. Just 6 years ago, Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell portrayed the team on film. Who could possibly come to the role next?
Fantastic Four MCU casting
In a report by Geekosity, it's stated that Marvel will be revealing their Fantastic Four casting next year. While many thought that Marvel would reveal their version of the iconic team at this year's reveal event, fans will have to wait until next year instead.
The report states that Marvel was previously eyeing up Emily Blunt and husband John Krasinski to play Mr Fantastic and the Invisible Woman. However, Blunt is apparently no longer in the running for the character as Marvel allegedly looks into casting Jennifer Lawrence.
Considering the substantial age gap between Lawrence and Krasinski, there's a slim chance that they would both be cast. However, considering Lawrence shared the screen with similarly aged Chris Pratt in Passengers, never say never.
