Patton Oswalt wants to play Marvel's live-action M.O.D.O.K

M.O.D.O.K voice actor Patton Oswalt wants to be the live-action actor for the same character in the MCU. After providing his voice for HULU's animated comedy show, Oswalt has revealed that he would love to play the character in Marvel's MCU.

Patton Oswalt wants to be another M.O.D.O.DK

In an interview with ComicBook, Oswalt revealed that being the MCU's version of the character would be a dream role. Not only would he receive a great cinematic role, but he would also be able to spend most of his time sitting down.

"Are you kidding? That'd be freaking awesome if we played M.O.D.O.K. live-action," Oswalt told the outlet. "Oh my God. I would love it. Plus, it's an acting job where I get to sit down the whole time. Are you kidding? I'd love that."

Following the success of bringing a fully CG character like Thanos to life, Oswalt explains that a live-action M.O.D.O.K would be incredible.

“The stuff that they're doing now with, with animation and combining animation and live-action, it just gets better and better every movie,” he said. “The idea of creating this thing, doing it live-action with either taking someone's face and changing it...absolutely [I think it could work.]”

“It would even be more amazing if you do a combination of animation and practical, like build the suit build the chair and have that be part of it so that there's that feeling of solidity there I think would be amazing."

Where would this character fit?

There are rumours that the character of M.O.D.O.K could appear in Marvel's upcoming Ant-Man threequel. While not confirmed, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is rumoured to have the MCU's first instance of M.O.D.O.K. With Oswalt's fantastic history of comedic performances, he would be a great fit alongside Paul Rudd.

Oswalt has already played a character for Marvel before. However, that character was part of Agents of Shield; Marvel decided that show was non-canon to the MCU. With that in mind, the actor could certainly appear as Marvel's funniest villain.
