Marvel TV shows like WandaVision won't get physical DVD/Blu-Ray releases

It’s tradition at this point for movies and TV shows to get physical releases after they've released. For franchises as huge as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, collectors are dedicated to gathering every release on DVD/Blu-Ray. Unfortunately, it appears that MCU collectors won't be able to purchase Marvel TV shows at all.

Once Phase 4 is over and done with, the inevitable collection of Phase 4 content will reportedly only include the mainline movies. When it comes to Marvel TV content like WandaVision or Loki, there's allegedly no plans to release any of them on DVD/Blu-Ray.

Marvel TV will only be on Disney Plus

In a TV Line article, Editor in Chief Matt Mitovitch revealed multiple insider scoops on franchises like Star Trek and Marvel. In the article, Mitovich explained the plans for Disney's Marvel TV plans are currently exclusively tied to the Disney Plus subscription service.

When asked if WandaVision and the like will ever release physically, Mitovich said:

“Ooh, interesting question, especially for those who love their physical media. Alas, I am hearing that at this time, there are no plans to do so. But never say never!”

Hopefully, Disney will decide to release their Disney Plus slate on DVD/Blu-Ray after a while of streaming exclusivity. After all, with Star Wars and Marvel are huge collectors franchises. Keeping both IPs kept away from collectors will only lead to backlash over time.
