John Krasinski says “Hell yeah!” to playing the MCU's Mr Fantastic

Fans have lovingly casted The Office star John Krasinski as the MCU's Reed Richards for the past year. MCU fans paired the actor with his real-life wife Emily Blunt in the role of the Invisible Woman as the dream Fantastic Four couple.

Unfortunately, after Blunt explained the two haven't been approached, it looked like fans wouldn't get their wish. However, John Krasinski appears to be ready and willing to be the MCU's Mr Fantastic after all.

John Krasinski is well up for playing Reed Richards

In an interview with Uproxx, Krasinski was asked if was thinking of playing Reed Richards to bring more attention to his horror series. “I didn’t even think of that," the actor/director said. "But now you make me sound really smart."

John Krasinski has talked about playing Reed Richards in the past, a choice that has since resonated with fans. While Emily Blunt doesn't appear to be up for the role of Invisible Woman, Krasinski is extremely keen on the role of Mr Fantastic. However, the actor doesn't want to pressure Marvel's Kevin Feige.

“I actually felt stupid, I wanted to email Kevin Feige and be like, ‘Sorry, man. I wasn’t trying to like put pressure on you. You’re the man.’”, the actor explained.
"I think I felt, it’s like I was trying to sometimes over calculate how much I’ve talked about certain things," Krasinski continued. "And then you get older and you just go, 'I don’t know, I’m going to be honest.' And my honest answer was like, 'Hell yeah. I’d play Mr. Fantastic.' And then people were like, 'Oh my God.' And I didn’t know it would be headlines."
