Captain America 4 is going ahead at Marvel Studios. With writers Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson reportedly behind the story, the movie still needs a director. How about Falcon and the Winter Soldier director Kari Skogland?
In a new interview by Cinema Blend, Skogland has put her name forward to direct Captain America 4. After bringing Sam Wilson into the mantle of the Captain, who else should helm the character’s new movie?
Kari Skogland wants to direct Captain America 4
In the interview, Skogland explains that they do want to direct Captain America 4. With Falcon and the Winter Soldier under their belt, the director is looking to continue working with Anthony Mackie fit the sequel.
"I think if Marvel called me to do anything, if they called me to film the phone book, I would do it," Skogland told them. "The Marvel characters are all very, very rich. I’ve become friends with Anthony and Sebastian, and I really enjoyed working with them. And Emily and Daniel Bruhl. I mean, I’ve worked with them for a couple of years, so of course, I have a special place in my heart. But as I said, if Kevin [Feige] picked up the phone, I would answer it."
What will happen in the Falcon and the Winter Soldier sequel?
Captain America 4 will be the official sequel to Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In fact, the upcoming movie will reportedly focus on similar themes to the TV show. With Sam Wilson’s appearance as Captain America being as controversial, the movie will focus on the character’s criticism.
There's no knowing if there will be an official TV sequel to the show. However, if it does appear on Disney+, it will likely be remained. The show ended with the new title Captain America and the Winter Soldier. With that said, the show could have the name Captain America and the White Wolf.
