The story Zack Snyder and Warner Bros’ tussle over the fate of Justice League is an extremely well-documented event. While the controversial superhero film has since been released, there was a time when that seemed impossible.
Zack Snyder never gave up on trying to get Justice League delivered to fans. Unfortunately, the director was stressed that backing the ongoing fan campaign would get him sued by Warner Bros.
Zack Snyder was worried about Warner Bros lawsuit
When a contract is signed with a studio, directors and actors are often forced to stay quiet. This is doubly true for controversial topics such as a studio interference. Zack Snyder and Justice League are the exception to the norm. However, the beloved director was worried that Warner Bros would attempt to silence him.
In an interview with The Times, Snyder reveals that he was constantly worried that Warner Bros would attempt something. With the director egging on fans to continue campaigning and teasing the existence of his movie cut, he thought Warner Bros would intervene.
“I was more worried the studio would sue me. Do something to silence me,” Snyder told the outlet.

Warner Bros is moving on
It's no secret that Warner Bros is moving on from the SnyderVerse for DC. Warner Bros has already got their new Batman, and a new Superman is allegedly on the way. In fact, only the tertiary Justice League members are safe in their roles. Wonder Woman, Aquaman and The Flash all appear to have a future with Warner Bros.
Despite this, fans are still hoping that the SnyderVerse can be continued in some form. Perhaps HBO Max could be the haven the universe needs, but that is appearing evermore unlikely as time goes on. Whatever happens, at least Zack Snyder’s Justice League saw the light of day.
