Wonder Woman 3 teased in latest Gal Gadot celebration tweet

The DCEU hasn’t been around as long as you'd think. It was only in 2013 when Zack Snyder's Man of Steel kicked off the new era of DC movies. In a post-Justice League world, there's a new run of DC film in the works: The Batman, Aquaman 2, Wonder Woman 3 and more.

Nevertheless, even in the face of movies like Wonder Woman 3, it's always good to remember the journey franchises take. Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot has done just that by celebrating the four-year anniversary of her debut solo film.

Teasing Wonder Woman 3 while celebrating

In a new Twitter post, Gadot expressed her gratitude at being cast in the role of Diana Prince. The actress explains that the rule has changed her life and that she’s “forever grateful for this amazing opportunity”. The actress said:

“Wonder Woman came out 4 years ago and changed my life. Thank you all so much for the love, I’m forever grateful for this amazing opportunity.”

Of course, Gadot also used the opportunity to tease fans with hope for the future. After Wonder Woman 1984, fans were wondering if there would be a Wonder Woman 3. The movie is confirmed to be in the works, and Gadot is happily teasing it.  Gadot said:

“I promise we will always do everything to keep and tell Wonder Woman’s story in the best way possible. Love and Peace! #WonderWoman3.”

The future of the series

As the DCEU is becoming focused on solo adventures, it looks like Wonder Woman will be contained for the future. The possibility of future movies will likely be entirely dependent on the success of the upcoming third movie.

Obviously, there is always the possibility that Diana Prince could cameo in a film like Shazam 2. However, Warner Bros will most probably keep the character enclosed in her own movie series from now on.
