The latest game by Bethesda and Arkane Studios is almost upon us and the game will have crossplay. It promises to bring us a mysterious story of a town threatened by a bloodsucking menace. But gamers are already wondering: will Redfall be on Steam Deck?
While we know about its crossplay nature, we have yet to know details on the portability of the title. But we have seen games such as Resident Evil 4 Remake and Hogwarts Legacy on Steam Deck.
So let's take all the clues we have and find out if Redfall will be on the Steam Deck.
Will Redfall be on Steam Deck?
As of this moment, it's difficult to say if Redfall will run on the Steam Deck.
We have seen AAA games run pretty decently on the portable system, but the latest Bethesda title has one exception to the rule. It requires an active internet connection at all times in order to work.
This might make it slightly more difficult to play it decently on the Steam Deck, but right now this is just speculation. Players might indeed find a way to bypass the problem and make it, at least, playable on Valve's portable handheld.
We will update this guide, should more information be available.
Redfall system requirements
If the Deck might not be able to handle it, then you want to make sure that your PC is ready to run Redfall at the best performance possible. These are the minimum computer requirements:
- Operating System:Ā Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor:Ā Intel Core i5-8400 @ 2.80GHz / AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- Memory:Ā 16 GB RAM
- Graphics:Ā AMD RX 580 / NV GTX 1070 / 6 GB VRAM
- Network:Ā Broadband Internet connection
- Storage:Ā 100 GB available space
While there is no information on the recommended specs yet, considering the minimum specs, then you might want to add to that last more video memory and a faster processor, for sure.
While it is not listed, installing the game on an SSD will definitely improve the performance of Redfall, along with reducing load times.
