Virtual Realit has probably helped a fair few people deal with the isolation and tedium of the last year.
It allows users to step out into incredible and impossible worlds, but it also allows people to take part in more realistic experiences like exploring a city or seeing music.
One of the biggest apps for viewing live music in VR was Wave VR.
Unfortunately, it's not going to be around for much longer.
The Wave VR concert app is going away
The change was announced via a tweet from the Wave CEO Adam Arrigo on the official Twitter account.
As you can see, things just haven't worked out as well as they could have for the company, and there are a few reasons things have gone awry, but it doesn't mean the end of the company at all.
However, if you're looking for another way to check out live music then you'll need to know how.

How else can you watch live music in VR?
There are other apps like Melody VR to fill the space that Wave VR is leaving behind.
There are also things like the web browsers specific to VR, as well as special shows designed for virtual reality that you can watch if you'd like to.
The closing of the Wave VR concert app is by no means the end to VR as a way of viewing music. In fact, we'd be a little surprised if it didn't get more popular given how much social distancing and whatnot have to be adhered to at the moment.
It's far safer to simply stay at home, and that means that VR is offering an experience that is fun, but with no risk and without having to buy tickets. You'll need to own a VR headset, of course, but it's good for plenty of other things too.
