The new Vivo X Note looks to be heading our way and as such, the first thing we'd love to know is a release date.
Whilst the likes of the Motorola Razr (2022) and Samsung Galaxy S23 are likely to be the focus of Android phone-based attention, the Vivo X Note may end up being quite the capable customer too and a definite one to watch if recent leaks are to be believed, which we'll get into in due course.
Here’s everything we know so far, and why you have every reason to be excited for a brand new Android phone.
Vivo X Note Release Date Rumours
The Vivo X Note was recently unveiled at a launch event on April 11th, and will be orderable from April 15th in China, although it is unclear if it'll make its way to the UK and US.
If the phone follows a similar pattern to the likes of Oppo, then it could a good few month until the phone heads out to the West.
We'll keep you posted.
Vivo X Note Specs
We've now got the official specs for the Vivo X Note, although many were leaked before the event itself. Take a look below:
- 7" Display
- 120hz Refresh Rate
- 2K Resolution
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC
- LTPO 2.0
- 5000 mAh battery
- 50 MP Main camera
- 48 MP ultra-wide
- 12 MP portrait lens
- 8 MP periscope lens (5x zoom)
Vivo X Note Design
Alongside the decent info we've had regarding the Vivo X Note's specs, we've also had some intriguing info pertaining to its design.
Below you can check out some official renders that were released when the phone was made available for preorder from the official Vivo store, as well as JD and Tmall (via GizmoChina):
It's fair to say that if these official renders are to be believed, the Vivo X Note could be a rather good looking phone with a large display complete with punchhole selfie camera.
Round back, its quad-camera looks to be housed in one circular housing. This makes a change from the camera bumps and bars we've seen on more recent Android phones, and perhaps can be seen to offer some cleaner looks overall.
Vivo X Note Price
The Vivo X Note is said to start at 5,999 CNY, which is roughly $943.
That's for the entry level model, which comes with 8GB RAM and 256 GB of storage.
The 12GB /256GB version is 6,499 CNY (around $1020) and the 12GB/ 512GB version is 6,999 CNY (around $1100).
As a flagship device, this high price is perhaps to be expected, and it puts the Vivo X Note firmly in the top bracket of phones available for purchase now. For reference, the iPhone 13 Pro Max carries an RRP of £1349 for a 512GB model whilst the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra goes for £1329.
