While the Deus Ex name has slowly fallen off the grid, having no new entries since 2016, the latest in the series is still spectacular. At launch, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was an excellent fourth entry into the franchise, and if you missed out on it, you can now grab it for free.
It's no surprise that the Epic Games Store is not profitable yet, considering how many exciting games the storefront gives away, for free, simply because you open it up occasionally. And, you can also add Epic Games Store to the Steam Deck, which is a nice bonus for the best gaming handheld.
The latest game on the giveaway rotation from Epic Games is Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The 2016 sequel to 2011's Human Revolution, Mankind Divided follows Adam Jensen, who was presumed dead after the events of the 2011 narrative, but was saved and given advanced augmentations in a world where humans and those with augmentations are... divided. It's a very fitting title for the game.
The Deus Ex series is known for being a set of incredible immersive sims, allowing you to interact with objectives in your own way. Maybe you want your version of Adam to be a killing machine where nothing gets in his way, or perhaps a stealthy cyborg-like ninja who never kills. It's up to you.
Admittedly, the two most recent Deus Ex titles don't feature as much creativity as the original did. However, they're still great games, and considering that Mankind Divided is now free via the Epic Games Store to download and keep, it's not a problem if you end up not liking it. However, you don't have to long to grab it, as it is only free until March 21, 2024.
If you're not a fan of Epic Games Store, and want to purchase it via Valve's storefront, Steam, it's currently on sale at a staggering 85% discount, making it £3.74, which is still a bargain. You can also pick up the Season Pass, which includes all released DLC, for only £1.87.
