The Witcher’s Geralt of Rivia voice actor Doug Cockle has encouraged fans to get a PSA test for prostate cancer after a horrifying diagnosis.
On , Cockle quote tweeted a post about prostate cancer, confirming that he himself has the horrid illness. Cockle then informed fans to go to their doctors and check if they have it, especially if they’re over 50.
“I had no idea. Random check and Boom… I have full blown prostate cancer,” Cockle said. “Treatment ongoing but looking good so far. Men over 50… get a PSA test… just in case.”
The Witcher’s official Twitter account also sent their support for Cockle, hoping that he overcomes this health issue and prevails. Hopefully, his “looking good so far” comment is an indication that things are going well and he will recover. Fans of the man can send their support to him as well.
Cockle has a pretty extensive resumé when it comes to video game work, thoug most fans know him as Geralt. His work as the iconic character is so well-known that the video game Victor Vran advertised Cockle’s role. This goes to show that the actor has left a pretty big impact on the industry, hence, all the support.
Due to his talent, fans are hoping to hear Cockle’s voice as Geralt for a long time since it’s iconic.
