The Batman has new Superman, Wonder Woman and Flash separate from new reboot

Warner Bros has been very clear that Zack Snyder's vision of the DCEU is dead. While Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Shazam technically exist in the SnyderVerse, they won't collaborate again. What's more interesting at the moment, however, is what's planned for The Batman.

Matt Reeves’ The Batman is a completely different universe from the SnyderVerse projects. Nevertheless, fans have often wondered if that universe will have their own version of Superman, Wonder Woman and Co. As it turns out, it will, but we likely won't see them.

The Batman does exist with other DC heroes

Unlike Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, Matt Reeves’ Caped Crusader doesn't exist within a bubble. While Nolan's movies seemingly had Batman as the only hero in the world, leading to Bane’s arrival, this universe is different.

In a report by Giant Freaking Robot, it’s claimed that other DC heroes do exist alongside Robert Pattinson’s Batman. However, it's likely that these heroes will only be referenced within the new film trilogy instead of directly shown.

The report claims that the Superman that exists in this universe isn't the same as the upcoming Superman reboot. Warner Bros’ reboot will be a new Clark Kent. As The Batman takes place in Earth-2, where Clark Kent is killed and replaced by Val Zod, it appears that there'll be yet another Superman.

We've already seen evidence of this universe's Superman

In a since-deleted Twitter post, a leaked behind the scenes image showed a costumed Superman in the background of a shot. Before the account was taken down, the user tweeted that the Superman was on set and emerged from the extras bus.

The Superman extra was allegedly part of a Halloween party that occurs during the movie. This means that this is a commercial representation of that universe's Superman, not the universe's actual costume. As such, the costume is very comic accurate to the iconic design.

When will they meet?

The Batman will be entirely focused on the Dark Knight' origins and his rogue's gallery. As such, we don't expect to see the two heroes interact at all in this movie. However, it's not out of the realm of reason that the two could meet in a sequel or comic down the line.

It does seem that Warner Bros is looking to test the waters a little with their inclusion here. Perhaps, this will be a secret attempt at actually building a universe. Only time will tell.
