Steps to Stop Crashing
- First and foremost, try the classic system restart. Sometimes, if this is a one-off glitch, this will fix the problem.
- Next, make sure you have checked for any system or software updates. This is applicable to your graphics drivers as well. If you have an AMD graphics card, check here. For Intel, go here and for GeForce, go here.
- Check that you have the latest version of DirectX as well.
- In case third-party software is interfering with the game, you can try running Sifu after a clean boot. To do this:
- Press Windows Key + R and type msconfig, then press Enter
- Go to the Services tab
- Check the box marked Hide all Microsoft services
- Click Disable all
- Go to the Startup tab and click on Open Task Manager
- Disable one task at a time and restart the system.
- Your next option is to try repairing the game files. As this is currently an Epic games exclusive on PC, the process you need to follow is this:
- Navigate to the game in your Library, and click on the three dots.
- Next, click Verify in the drop-down.
- Wait for the process to complete. It normally takes a few minutes. Once it has finished, click Launch to start the game.
- Make sure you aren't overclocking your computer. While in theory this can boost performance, on occasion it can do the opposite, as well as damage your hardware. You can also try lowering the performance settings on the game, to see whether this remedies the issue.
- Last, but not least, if nothing else works, try uninstalling the game, and then reinstalling it.
If none of these solutions works, you can contact the developers on Twitter @SifuGame for additional support.
