Now that we've passed the lucrative Holiday season, game developers and publishers are now beginning to lay out their plans for 2021 and beyond.
Following the likes of Nintendo, who recently released a trailer for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, SEGA has announced on Twitter that it will be hosting a special live stream event very soon.
Here's everything you need to know about SEGA's upcoming livestream, alongside what we could potentially see.

SEGA Livestream announced: How to watch SEGA livestream
In a tweet on January 12, SEGA Europe announced: "We'll be back for our first live stream of 2021 this coming Thursday with something special."
The live stream is scheduled for January 14, 2021, but SEGA did not give a specific time for when it will go live. "More details to come," SEGA tweeted. "But make sure to follow us on Twitch to get notified when we're live."
If you want to follow SEGA on Twitch ahead of the event, you can do so via this link.

What will SEGA reveal in January?

The tweet was accompanied by a video of Sonic dashing across a TV, but this doesn't necessarily mean the live stream will reveal a new Sonic the Hedgehog title like Sonic Adventure 3.
We wouldn't be surprised if the live stream announced a localisation of a game not yet released outside of Japan- especially as the live stream has only been shared via the SEGA Europe Twitter account, and not the main SEGA account.
However, with 2021 being the 30th Anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog, we can't rule anything out at the moment. We'll have to wait for the live stream...
