After a recent report by Android Police about some possible code for a new pair of Galaxy Buds, the rumour mill has been going into overdrive. Questions about the price, release date, and the specs of these highly anticipated new buds are rife. So we've scoured the internet to round up all the most reliable information we can find, to let you know everything you need, about the so-called Galaxy Buds 2.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Release Date

While there is currently no definitive statement, there are plenty of rumours swirling. Sammobile has suggested a release at some stage this summer, with in July or August. Samsung are also expected to host a Samsung Unpacked event on August 11th, with the expectation that the Galaxy Buds 2 will be confirmed at that event.

August would also tie-in with the anniversary of the release of the original Galaxy Buds, and the Galaxy Buds Live, so there would be some symmetry to this as a release window.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Price

Price is another rumour that is not based on any official Samsung announcement. But according to MySmartPrice.com "industry sources" have indicated a price somewhere between EUR 180 and EUR 200. Sammobile, meanwhile, suggests that they will cost around $170, which would potentially make them more expensive than the Airpods they will be competing against. They have acknowledged this is a guess, however.

We won't know for certain what prices will look like until they are officially unveiled.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Specs and Design

There is an expectation that the Buds 2 will each house a 60mAh battery. The charging case will potentially have a 500mAh battery.

In terms of design, we are expecting up to four colours, with a gloss, rather than matte, finish. Colours are likely to be black, white, green and purple. They're also expected to look very similar to the Galaxy Buds Pro in terms of design.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Features

There are a few interesting features that have been suggested. The fairly obvious include better sound quality than their predecessors (which you'd really expect). They are also expected to retain the active noise reduction that previous models have carried.

More interestingly though, are rumours about multi-device support. This feature would allow them to connect to more than one device at a time. This would allow you to switch between them more easily. It would a be a great feature from a productivity and ease-of-use standpoint.

The Galaxy Buds Pro also had an automatic device switching feature, and there's a possibility that we might see this included on the Buds 2 as well.

Anything else we need to know?

Keep in mind, all of this reporting is based on rumours and leaks. We can't be completely certain of anything, although there is a reasonable degree of confidence in much of what we've already discussed. We won't know anything definitively, until Samsung finally unveil them.
