RoboCop: Rogue City has released a brand-new gameplay trailer, alongside a delay announcement. Originally, the sci-fi FPS was planned to be released this June, but it will now be coming to modern systems in September.

Developer Teyon released a new gameplay overview trailer that shows a ton of gory shooting. The titular RoboCop does start off as a normal police officer, but he quickly starts shooting criminals in an incredibly hyper-violent way. If you thought the original movie’s parodic violence was funny, wait until you play this!

Similar to Terminator: Resistance, also developed by Teyon, RoboCop: Rogue City seems to have some Fallout influences. The green aiming system used to focus on body parts looks similar to Fallout 3, albeit with shinier graphics and, well, RoboCop.

While the gameplay doesn’t look like anything innovative, it does look pretty solid for a licensed title. Quality licensed games are quickly becoming less surprising but considering how Teyon once made the horrific Rambo game on PS4, this is a nice surprise. Then again, Terminator: Resistance was also seen as a solid game from Teyon, which is likely how they got the RoboCop license.

If everything goes well, RoboCop: Rogue City could be the best modern game to feature the character. Not only does it look like the best game to feature the character but it also brings back Peter Weller from the original films to voice the movie icon. Hearing Weller say “I have your warrant” before proceeding to kick all kinds of ass looks really promising.

RoboCop: Rogue City was announced for a June 2023 release date but will now be coming out this September, though no exact date was given. The first-person shooter will be available to purchase on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam or Epic Games.
