PS5 pre-order from Currys UK
Pre-orders from Currys went live on September 17, overwhelming the site as thousands scrambled to secure the PS5 console, entering long queues until the site went "offline for essential maintenance" during the day.
Since then, Currys has sold out of its allocated stock of PlayStation 5 consoles, but if you want to check out the pre-order site while waiting for Currys to restock, you can view it here.
UPDATE: The Currys PC World pre-order site is "offline for essential maintenance" at the time of writing

PS5 pre-order from Amazon UK
As promised, Amazon's pre-orders went live at 9 AM BST, although mobile users may experience some issues viewing the product.
Everything moved pretty quickly, and at the time of writing the Amazon product page in the UK says āCurrently Unavailableā, which means the first wave of stock may have run out.
You canĀ click here to check the Amazon page, though ā it might have updated since we wrote this.
Amazon now has the PS5's Digital Edition up for order, too, at Ā£359.99. Given the popularity of the cheaper console, it also sold out fast, meaning the Amazon page might say 'Currently Unavailable' by the time you check it, which you can do here.

PS5 pre-order from GAME UK
GAME was one of the few retailers to open their pre-orders late on September 16, and subsequently burned through its allocated stock incredibly quickly.
If you visit the site, all PS5 products appear to be out of stock.
UPDATE: Game has now confirmed on Twitter that it has fully sold out of its allocated PS5 consoles.

PS5 pre-order from Argos UK
Argos, that famous high-street shop that is weirdly similar to visiting a bookies (filling in your selection with tiny pens, waiting for your choice to come in), announced that pre-orders coming from them will open later than those from other retailers on September 18.
This was great for those who missed out on ordering a PS5 when pre-orders first live, although it appears that Argos has also sold out of its PS5 stock.
The retailer looks to be hoping for a restock in the near future. You can sign up for PS5 stock notifications from Argos using this link.

PS5 pre-order from Sony UK
Curiously, Sony's PlayStation site in the UK appears either to have no PlayStation 5's in stock, or has yet to open its pre-orders to the public. The 'Buy Now' page on the PlayStation UK website, which you can see here, makes no reference to pre-ordering directly from the site, nor does it include any links for where you can buy a PS5.
We'll keep an eye on Sony's storefront just in case they decide to open pre-orders ahead of the console's launch later this year.
