With the PS5 finally in some peoples hands, those people are probably trying to figure out what to do with their PS4 games.
Storage has been a bit of an issue for the last couple of years thanks to an ever-increasing amount of GBs per game.
It''s one fo the main reasons that so many people ended up investing in an external HDD, and while that was fine with the PS4, there's a better way for the PS5.
So, here's everything you need to know about this issue.
Why should you transfer the games from your HDD to the SSD
So, while you can play games from your HDD, it makes a lot of sense to transfer them to the PS5s internal SSD instead.
The main reason, and what else even matters, is because it'll make the games faster.
You'll be able to load in quicker, see a marked improvement in performance, and it'll all be better for everyone involved, which is mostly going to be you.
You might be wondering how to do this though, so here's how you do this.

How to transfer from an HDD
The first thing you'll need to do is to connect your HDD to the PS5 via either the front-facing USB-C port or the read USB-A slot.
Once you've done that you need to transfer the games to your PS5, so head over to Settings and then select Storage.
You'll now need to go to Extended Storage and choose Games and Apps and then select Items You Can move.
Now you'll be able to choose whatever you want to move onto your SSD. It's a space-consuming way of playing things, but if you've not got many PS5 games and you want to play your favourite PS4 games but with a bit of a boost, then this is the way to do it.
