Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be getting its next big update in April, fixing the broken raid error In addition to fixing these issues, the games will also reintroduce the raids for Walking Wake and Iron Leaves to give players a second chance at catching rare monsters.
Serebii confirmed that we would be getting the new Scarlet and Violet in late April, with the major fixes going to the aforementioned Tera Raid bugs. Other bugs will supposedly get fixed as well but we doubt the patch will give players better framerate or eliminate pop-in.
“This update will fix a few bugs but most notably the bug where players would catch an Egg instead of Walking Wake/Iron Leaves if they were on Version 1.1 when the raid event started, locking them out of catching the Pokémon. A repeat of the Tera Raid event will run around the same time as the update data. We'll provide more details as they come,” says the Serebii post.
While fans are glad that this Pokémon Scarlet and Violet update will fix the “bad egg” issue, there is a glaring one that wasn’t mentioned; the deleted saves. Fans who connected their games to Pokémon GO and/or downloaded the DLC had their saves erased. Though not all fans were affected, there was enough to get the game more backlash.
It seems like a day doesn’t pass by where these two games aren’t steeped in controversy. Many are still down on the game’s subpar visuals and performance, which have been around since its launch. Some fans even got refunds after being disappointed with the games, though that didn’t stop them from being the fastest-selling Switch exclusives at launch.
