Path of Exile 2 is finally on its way, so you may be on the lookout for details like its release date, trailer, and platforms.
There have been plenty of comparisons made between Path of Exile and the Diablo series of games because of the similarities in gameplay and aesthetic. However, Path of Exile has proven that it is more than just a free-to-play alternative to the popular Blizzard franchise.
Path of Exile 2 will serve as an update to the original game that includes a new six-act storyline, an updated skill system, additional ascendancy classes, and a graphics overhaul.
Path of Exile 2 release date
No official release date for Path of Exile 2 has been revealed just yet.
However, In the gameplay teaser trailer showcased at the Summer Game Fest, it was mentioned that more information would be revealed on July 28, 2023. This coincided with the ExileCon Livestream event.
ExileCon saw the announcement of some of the details of Path of Exile 2, which included features such as the new Endgame as well as the reveal of 12 character classes. What's great about this is that it means there are a total of 36 ascendency classes in the next instalment. However, we are still awaiting the highly-anticipated official release date.
Path of Exile 2 platforms
There haven't been any official announcements regarding the platforms for Path of Exile 2, leaving us to speculate based on the trends observed with Path of Exile 1.
While we await official information, it is reasonable to anticipate that Path of Exile 2 will be available on a variety of platforms, including:
- Windows PC
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series X|S
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
It is basically confirmed that Path of Exile 2 will be on PC given the game has an official Steam page, including system requirements. Additionally, given Path of Exile is available on PS4 and Xbox One, it would make sense that both consoles are included in the sequel's release.

There are a handful of trailers up on Path of Exile 2's official site, but the one gameplay teaser revealed at Exilecon shows a generous amount of footage from the game's third act.
