Overcooked: All You Can Eat has arrived on Xbox Series X/S and the PS5, with the stress-inducing kitchen calamities sure to become a hit on the next-gen consoles.
However, it's not just your cooking which seems to be going wrong: we've seen reports of a glitch that is disconnecting players' controllers during couch co-op local multiplayer sessions, and it seems to be turfing a 'Guest' player out of the game after an achievement is unlocked.

What is the Overcooked glitch on Xbox Series X/S?
As a Reddit user called Bellcheese has reported, when playing local multiplayer on the Xbox version of Overcooked: All You Can Eat, the 'Guest' player is getting disconnected when an achievement is unlocked in the game.
Of course, considering that fast-paced manoeuvres and precise hand-offs are a big part of the Overcooked experience, controllers getting disconnected is a recipe for anger and annoyance.
Overcooked creates some stress deliberately, but this is an unwelcome extra layer to the trifle of rage, and players that are impacted by this glitch would surely be keen for a fix.
How to fix it when your controller keeps disconnecting
In the big bile of replies on Reddit, one user claims to have fixed this issue by updating their Xbox Wireless Controller. Apparently, they followed the instructions at this official Xbox webpage and didn't have the controller-disconnecting problem again.
Other users claim that fix didn't work, though, while some have even spoken about their desire to switch to the PS5 version instead of the Xbox Series X/S version.
Interestingly, the developers from Team17 even waded into the Reddit thread, telling anyone that's impacted by this glitch to get in touch with them at this link here - that's the customer support page for the game, so click that link if you're still having troubles!
You should be able to send off a message to customer support, and hopefully some official troubleshooting will come your way as a result! Hopefully you'll be back in the kitchen in no time.
