After one or two delays, Omega Strikers has finally had its official launch, with the hockey/football/hero-shooter mash-up now available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS (sorry, PlayStation and Xbox gamers - you have to wait a bit yet).
However, there have been some issues at launch, with reports stating the matchmaking servers are not working as they should. Android users are also having problems signing in.
Below you can see the latest on the Omega Strikers servers, as well as a potential fix to the Android login problem.
Are the Omega Strikers servers down?
The Omega Strikers servers are currently online, with no massive issues to report as of September 19.
The two main issues affecting players sporadically, however, involve the matchmaking system (which Oddysey Interactive, the developers behind the game say is now fixed), and another affecting Android users from successfully logging in to the game.
Some playing from Android devices are struggling to login to the game, an issue the developers are aware of and are actively trying to fix.
Until a permanent solution can be found, the developers have suggested a potential fix for the Omega Strikers Android login issue.
They have offered the following fix:
- Go to http://accounts.google.com
- Head to the "Security" tab
- Naviagate to the "Signing in with Google" section
- Find the "Google Account sign-in prompts" section and make sure it is set to "Enabled"
The developers state this is a workaround and are still looking for a more permanent fix. Some users have reported this helping the issue, while others state that they still can't login.
This issue has since been resolved, but if you are still having problems then that fix will surely work. You can now play without issues.
