Since the RTX 3080 first launched in September 2020, NVIDIA has released a consistent stream of new GPUs. The latest - the RTX 3060 - was made available in February 2021.

Looking ahead to the future, NVIDIA is widely expected to launch the RTX 3080 Ti, also rumoured to include cryptomining restrictions.

However, it appears NVIDIA is not done with its 30 Series and may be set to release a new low-cost card - the RTX 3050 Ti.

GeForce RTX 3050 Ti LEAKED

As reported by Wccftech, ASUS appears to have prematurely revealed NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU.

In a listing for its TUF Dash Laptops, the ASUS site included a reference to the RTX 3050 Ti GPU in the specs for a TUF Dash F15 laptop.

With the graphics card listed as part of a laptop, it is possible the RTX 3050 Ti could launch primarily for laptops as a more affordable, entry-level option.

GeForce RTX 3050 Ti specs and features

The listing for the RTX 3050 Ti, if accurate, confirms that the GPU comes with 4GB GDDR6 of VRAM. This is a considerable amount less than other cards in the 30 Series, with the RTX 3060 featuring 8GB of GDDR6 memory.

However, while the memory is similar to that of an RTX 2060 or even some cards from the GTX 10 Series, it's likely the RTX 3050 Ti will still support ray tracing.

As a result of its smaller memory size, the RTX 3050 Ti is likely to be considerably cheaper than its counterparts in the 30 Series. If the RTX 3050 Ti is sold as an entry-level GPU, we'd be surprised if it cost anything more than $300.

And finally, NVIDIA may seek to include hash rate limits for Ethereum mining in the RTX 3050 Ti following a precedent set by the RTX 3060 Ti, in a bid to deter cryptocurrency miners.
