If you're experiencing the NHL 23 can't connect to store issue, then you may, quite justifiably, be asking yourself what's going on. Frankly, if you weren't asking that question, we'd be surprised. There you were, minding your own business, expecting to go to the store to make a purchase of some sort, only to find that you can't.

Well, if that's the situation in which you find yourself, we'll do our best to explain what's going on, and what you might be able to do about it. Let's get going.

How to fix store connection issues on NHL 23

If you find yourself unable to connect to the store in NHL 23, then there are a number of potential reasons for this. It's impossible to know which one is at play in any individual case, so the best thing to do is work your way through the steps we suggest, until you find the one that works for you.

  • Start by checking for any potential server-related issues. If the servers are down, wait until they are back up and running before trying again. You can also follow @EAHelp on Twitter for updates.
  • Assuming the servers are working properly, your next step is to see if there are any possible issues with the account you are using. For example, check to make sure your EA account is active. You can also look to see if you are signed in using an underage child account, as this will potentially restrict access to the store.
  • Next, check your internet connection for potential connection issues. Restart your router, reset your console or computer, and see if this fixes things. Make sure you have as few bandwidth-intensive programs running as possible.
  • Check for game updates. This may be a glitch that has already been identified by the developers. If so, then a game update may resolve it.
  • If this is happening in conjunction with server connection issues, then check out our guide to the NHL 23 Unable To Connect To EA Server Error.
  • You could also try changing your DNS settings.
  • Finally, it may be the case that there is simply too much traffic on the server at the same time, and this might be causing the issue. This is particularly common when a game has recently been released. You may, therefore, find that trying again at a time when the servers are quieter resolves the issue.
    • As an alternative to this, you could try using a VPN to connect with a server in a different region. Or, if you already use a VPN, try turning it off and connecting with your local server, to see if this resolves the problem.

If you've tried all of the above and you're still unable to access the store, we'd recommend that you contact EA Support for further advice.

What is the NHL 23 can't connect to store error?

Some players are reporting problems when they attempt to connect to the store in NHL 23. It's unclear at the time of writing exactly why this is happening.

Experience tells us that these sorts of problems are, unfortunately, pretty common with new games. Very often, they are resolved soon after, whether that's thanks to a software update, or servers being better able to cope with traffic levels.

While we can't say for certain exactly what's going on here, the solutions we listed above are known to have worked for some players. So give them a try for yourself, and hopefully, you'll be back in the store soon.
