The Motorola Moto G52 is heading our way, and if the latest leaks are anything to go by, we could be looking at one of the best midrange phones of the year.
As of late, there is a ton of competition for our attention, from the hype-inducing Nothing Phone 1 to the latest rumours surrounding the iPhone 14, but let's not forget there are big improvements in the mid-range sector too.
Let's take a closer look at everything we know so far, plus explore a few remaining questions we have about the phone itself.
Motorola Moto G52 Latest Leaks
So what's interesting about the Motorola Moto G52 is that it appears to be the follow up to the Motorola G51. But hold the phone (sorry), didn't the line up only release in November last year?
Unlike the likes of Samsung and Apple, it looks like Motorola isn't going down the route of the more traditional release date patterns, but rather trying to fire out new versions of their smartphones quicker - enter the Motorola Moto G52.

A bold move indeed, and one that we imagine works well with upgrade-happy people who have phones via their contracts, but for those who may not want to update their device every 8 months, is this really the best way to go?
Time will tell, but let's get into what we know so far about the G52 via the latest leaks.
Motorola Moto G52 Specs
Recently a leak via 91mobiles has given us a vivid picture of what to expect from the Motorola Moto G52 specs, and they do not disappoint:
- Snapdragon 680 processor
- 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED display
- 90hz refresh rate
- 4GB / 6GB RAM with 128GB / 256 GB Storage
- IP52-certified
- Camera (Main) 50MP
- Camera (Wide) 8MP
- Camera (Selfie) 16MP (punch-hole)
- 5000 mAh Battery
So we knew that this phone wasn't going to pack the very latest chipset, because it's positioned as an affordable device, but the Snapdragon 680 coupled with a potential 6GB RAM and 256 GB of storage is actually a bit of winner here.
On top of that, you're getting a solid 90hz refresh rate, which is the same as the Samsung Galaxy A33 we might add.
The camera set looks decent, but we won't know for sure until we see it action. There's not mention of how this phone records video or any different features the camera has at the moment. Will we see a solid night mode? We'll have to wait and see.

What's promising is that we also know that the phone will come with a massive 5000 mAh battery, not unlike the recent slew of Samsung Galaxy A-series.
That should mean two day battery, but we're interested to know what fast-charging capabilities there are. We've seen everything from 25W to 65W+ recently, so let's hope they land somewhere between that range.
Motorola Moto G52 Design
The same leak has provided a solid look at the phone itself.
From a design perspective, we actually really like the look of this phone. It certainly has a more 'professional' look to it, especially when compared to the recent Black Shark 5 Pro, and the punch-hole camera does look like something that isn't to jarring with the screen itself.
The back of the phone does look like it's got a bit of shine to it, but it's hard to tell. If it does, can we expect a ton of fingerprints? We'll see!
It also looks like we're getting a few different colours, but don't expect the full rainbow here (leave that to the MacBook 2022 Air).
And in case you were interested in knowing what the design of the wallpapers for the new phone are, it looks like they've been 'extracted' early.
The images shared by XDA developers show a few of them, and they do look pretty good. One of which you can see in the product photos above.
Does The Motorola Moto G52 Have 5G?
According to multiple reports, the Motorola G52 doesn't appear to have 5G. That may not be a surprise, considering that the previous entries also omitted it too.
Will it be a big deal? Well, we hate to keep bringing them up, but Samsung's Galaxy A73, A55, and A33 all have 5G, so we guess it comes down to one thing...price.
And for that, nothing has been revealed just yet, and the same goes for a release date.
Will you hang on to see what the Motorola Moto G52 offers, or will you dive in to anyone of the best mid range phones available now?
Stay tuned, as we'll be back to update this article with more information as we get it.
