Microsoft announced that it would discontinue its Rewards app in April, ending streaks for players in favour of a new Rewards hub.
A Rewards app message on Xbox informed players that as of April Microsoft will stop publishing tasks and offers in the app on the console
In addition, all weekly set and streak tasks will end as of April 15, 2024.
Previously, the Rewards app had players trying to fulfill daily and weekly tasks with the aforementioned streaks, earning further points to spend on the Rewards store.
This new iteration of the Rewards initiative will completely replace the old system with the new Rewards hub.
Microsoft Rewards hub will simplify things going forward, focusing on playing games and making purchases on the store as the main way to earn points.
The new details on the Rewards hub are listed on the official Xbox website.

While much of this is very similar to the existing Rewards program, previously, Xbox Rewards was split across three separate experiences.
The new system hopes to streamline things, combining all three into one location. With a new Xbox dev kit reportedly being certified in South Korea, could these changes be paving the way for the new diskless Xbox Series X seen in the FTC leak last year?
