Microsoft Flight Simulator is the only game out promising to let us live our lives free of our natural constraints by flying over Buckingham Palace as a gigantic block of flats.
Whether that's a future you want or not, the game itself is incredibly impressive.
However, with all of that power comes a wealth of potential issues for you to have to troubleshoot, and doing so can take a lot of time.
Sometimes it's nothing to do with you either, sometimes Steam is just messing about. Find out more here.
Is Steam Down?
Sometimes one of the issues you might be facing with Microsoft Flight Simulator comes down to the place you've downloaded it rather than anything else.
That means that it can be an issue to do with the service you're using, like Steam, for example.
The status of Steam changes regularly, but it has been known to crash and be rather hard to work with sometimes.
You can find out if there are any issues with it at this exact moment in time by going to Down Detector or Steam Status. Between the two of these, you should be able to tell if there are any issues with the service.

How to fix other Microsoft Flight Simulator Issues
There are plenty of other problems that can affect your games, and there are a few general-purpose things you can do to try and solve them.
First of all, you should verify the integrity of your game files, this just helps you to check that updates have been done correctly. On that note, it's also worth seeing if there are updates to do as well.
You should also make sure that your firewall isn't blocking the program too. Sometimes if a game is new your firewall might think it's a bit suspicious.
Finally, always check your drivers. Go through and update them all, especially your GPU.
