Leaked Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire Spider-Man pics DMCA'd by Sony

Leaked images of Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire have started making their way online. Prior to the release of the Spider-Man No Way Home trailer, two pictures of the Spider-duo were posted on social media. While many considered the images to be fake, new evidence suggests they're the real deal.

After the images gained popularity, fans noticed that the leaked pics were being steadily removed. As it turns out, Sony's Columbia Pictures has been issuing takedown notices to users who have shared the pictures.

Sony DMCAs leaked Andrew Garfield pictures

One of the first Twitter posts to share the two images has now been taken down. First noticed by Reddit user StickSpam, the tweet was removed “in response to a report from the copyright holder”. Another image shows that the tweet was removed by Columbia Pictures, Sony's production company on No Way Home.

The removed image shows Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man leaning against a scaffolding. Garfield is donning a mask-less Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit as a hand reaches out to him. While blurry, the hand in question is definitely Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man. You can tell from the gorgeous suit.

There's not much else to the image. It's been proven that there is a real scaffolding set created for Spider-Man: No Way Home. The leaked pictures are not photoshopped onto existing images of the sets. If the pictures are doctored, they're based on new pictures of the sets.

When will they reveal the two Spider-Men?

Spider-Man: No Way Home’s initial trailer quickly became the most watched trailer of all time. However, the trailer didn't feature any footage of Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire. On one hand, the introduction of the two webheads’ villains essentially confirms their appearance. On the other hand, it would've been nice to see them anyways.

It’s obvious that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Even if it’s just for small cameos, the evidence is irrefutable. If the two are main characters in the movie, we should expect to see them in the next trailer.
