Ever the company to try new things, Japanese game developer Konami has announced its intention to branch out into the PC gaming market. After launching a brand called Arespear earlier this year, the company best known for PES and Metal Gear has unveiled three Konami gaming PCs for different entry points.
Arespear is a sub-brand of Konami set up to produce hardware and peripherals geared towards esports. In fact, the first three letters of the brand name stand for "Advanced Revolution of Esports". The newly-announced C300, C700 and C700+ gaming PCs are the company's first foray into PC gaming hardware.
But how do they stack up? We have all the details...
Konami gaming PCs specs
So far, Konami has revealed details of three gaming PCs: the C300, C700 and C700+. As the names suggest, there are three options depending on your budget and performance needs, starting from C300 at the entry level up to C700+ at the elite. All three are based on the same core design.
The C300 features an Intel Core i5-9400F processor, which has a base clock speed of 2.90 GHz and can be boosted up to 4.10 GHz. It's also equipped with 8 GB DDR4 RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card and 512 GB SSD storage. Everything you'd expect from an entry-level gaming PC really.
Moving on up to the C700, you'll find a watercooled Intel Core i7-9700 CPU for between 3.00 and 4.90 GHz speeds and upgraded graphics thanks to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super. Memory is doubled to 16 GB and a 1 TB HDD is added. The C700+ is basically a cosmetic upgrade, with a windowed case and RGB lighting.
