AMD has released the Ryzen 5000 processor, and many are trying to see the performance of these new processors compared to Intel's i5 and i7.
When it comes to which one is better, well, even with specs arguably it's a matter of opinion, so let's take a closer look.
Is AMD Ryzen Better Than i5?
An equivalent processor to the Intel i5-11400F is the Ryzen 5 5600X, and both processors feature six cores and twelve threads with a maximum TDP of 65 watts.
But the Ryzen 5 5600X processor was released late back in 2020, while the Intel i5-11400F processor was released in the first quarter of 2020, so there's certainly an age difference.
The Ryzen 5 5600X processor surpasses the Intel Core i5-11400F processors in multi-threaded performance and single-threaded performance. When comparing the two processor's base clock speed and turbo clock speed, the Ryzen processor easily surpasses Intel in both clock speeds.
Since the Ryzen 5 5600X processor not only surpasses Intel's latest generation of processors, Ryzen processors are currently the best for gaming.
Ryzen Processors News and Information
The Ryzen 5000 series processors were recently released in the last quarter of 2020 and benefit from the later release compared to Intel's 10th generation processor series and Intel's 11th generation processor series.
The Ryzen 5000 processor series utilize the AM4 socket and may be the last Ryzen processor generation to use the AM4 socket and the Zen 3 microarchitecture.
