Every iPhone launch comes with a '..Gate' topic, whether if its 'BendGate' or 'AntennaGate', there's always something that usually gets talked about at the time of a new iPhone.
This year looks to be no different, with some in China claiming that they are having their fingers hurt by the edges of the new iPhone 12 line.
The iPhone 12 and 12 Pro have been on the market for a week now, and while many wait for the 12 mini and 12 Pro Max to arrive in November, some may be swayed to use something else after reading these news posts.
However, it seems as though these are unfounded rumours, and here's why.
Sharp Design
Reported by GizChina, users are apparently finding that when they hold the iPhone in a certain way, they receive an injury similar to a paper cut.
The design of the iPhone 12 is an evolution of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 line from nine years ago, where it would be a flat, glass-based design compared to the curvature of recent iPhone models.
Every iPhone 12 is similar in design, but they only differ in the colours and the band that also acts as an antenna around the iPhone.
There are photos that apparently show people with plasters suffering from these phones, but it seems as though it's a falsehood.

Edge to Edge of Falsehoods
After a week of many people upgrading to the iPhone 12 line, we have serious doubts that this is at all true. A much more reasonable topic are the MagSafe prints that are being seemingly left on the phones and cases.
Similar to a coffee print on a table, marks can leave a stain in time, so time will tell as to whether these marks will be able to be wiped off permanently.
As we are on the cusp of another two iPhone 12 models launching, falsehoods like these will probably appear again, and next year, and the year after.
However, we suspect that if millions are happy with the new design, one may just be holding it incorrectly.
