Intel's first graphics card in twenty years, the Intel Xe, has many gamers wondering how its specs compare to not only NVIDIA's current GPUs and AMD's current GPUs.
Its graphics card is looking to compete not only in the entry-level GPU market but also in the high-end market as well. But with early drivers and a brand new system, how will they fair compared to the current GPU giants?
Let's take a look at what we could expect when Intel's new graphics card is released.
Intel Xe Specs
Intel is looking to compete in all major GPU markets ranging from Entry-level all the way to enthusiast-level; this wide range is showcased by the number of Execution units and the amount of VRAM installed in each GPU.
The high-end model is looking to feature not only 512 Execution units but also feature up to 16 GB of VRAM and utilizes a 256-bit bus.
The high VRAM is consistent with how AMD built its RX 6000 series graphics card, while the high amount of Execution units would be able to compete with the AMD RX 6800 graphics card.
What else do we know?
The Intel Xe graphics card DG2 is looking to compete with the current offerings from both AMD and NVIDIA, At the time of writing there is no current release date set, but the price will most likely be equivalent to the current GPUs.
While Intel is looking to compete with NVIDIA and AMD with its first graphics card in twenty years, will it measure up?
Stay tuned for more details.
