How To Unhide Games On Steam
It is all about, right clicking on the game you want and getting it to show up again. Once you know what you're doing, it is actually very simple to unhide games on Steam. And there are two main parts to this: first, you have the option to view hidden games. And then, once you have found the game you wish to restore to its rightful place, you can choose to unhide it.

View Hidden Games
Unlike your regular catalogue of games, hidden games won't show up in a sidebar. You'll need to access a dedicated page which will show you their cover photos. To do this:
- Open Steam.
- Click on View.
- On the dropdown menu, select Hidden Games.
And that's it - all your hidden games will be there for you to see. It's worth mentioning that these games aren't archived or unavailable to play. If you want to play one, just choose it, and start playing as you would with any of your other games.
Unhide Games
Now that you've stumbled upon this treasure-trove of hidden games, there may be one (or several) games that you wish to unhide, and return to your Steam library. Once again, this is a very straightforward process:
- Go to your hidden games list.
- Find the game you wish to unhide and right-click on it.
- Hover your cursor over Manage.
- Click on Remove from Hidden.
The game will move from your hidden games catalogue, and will be back on your regular list of games. As we said, easy. We don't expect you to need any more help, but if you're really struggling, you can always reach out to Steam Support. Perhaps if, for instance, a game you know you've previously bought isn't to be found anywhere.
What Is The Steam Unhide Games Feature?
The unhide games feature is, as you've no doubt figured out by now, designed to restore games that you've previously hidden. But you may be wondering why anyone would want to hide games in the first place. It's a reasonable question.
A couple of obvious reasons exist, such as a library getting too big or some games you may want to hide from someone. Firstly, maybe you've had Steam for a really long time, and your game library is getting out of control. In this situation, you may wish to select a number of games that you've not played for a long time, and just tidy things up.

And another common reason for hiding games is if other people share your computer or use your Steam account, and you may not want them to access all your games. Perhaps most obviously, the hidden games feature could prevent children from accessing games that aren't age-appropriate, while still allowing you to go and play them when you want.
It's a potentially valuable feature to have. And if you've never used it before, hiding a game is also extremely simple:
- In Steam, go to your library.
- Right-click on the game you want to hide.
- Hover your cursor over Manage.
- Select Hide this game.
That game will now be hidden from your regular games list. And this applies to your account, not just your computer. So if you log on with a different device, any game you've hidden will remain hidden.
