How to turn off your Xbox Series X or S controller
Whether you've got an Xbox Series X or an Xbox Series S, switching off the controller when you're not using it is definitely a smart thing to do - because these new controllers run on AA batteries, you won't want to be wasting power when you aren't using it.
Luckily, turning off your controller is very easy. All you need to do is press down on the Xbox button in the centre of the controller. This will bring up a grey menu that fills the screen, which gives you a clear option to turn off the controller.

How to turn off your Xbox Series X or S console
When you're finished with your console for the time being, of course, you should power it down rather than just letting the thing constantly add a little more to your electricity bill.
To turn off the console, you simply need to hold down the Xbox button on the front of the machine for a second or two. It should beep and then switch itself off.
Alternatively, if you hold down the Xbox button on the controller, the menu that appears on screen will give you an option to turn off the console. It really is that easy!
