The Nintendo Switch Online service is pretty good, thanks to the NES and SNES games you get, the online play, and the addition of clouds saves for some titles.
It's not perfect, though, and while you might enjoy using it for a while, there may come a day when you want to cancel it (or you might want to cancel your monthly subscription so you can buy a year for a lower price).
The thing is, if you've signed up for automatic renewal, it's not as simple as just not paying the next time you're due to renew the service.
So, this is how to stop Nintendo Switch Online automatic renewal...
How to stop Nintendo Switch Online automatic renewal on eShop
If you want to cancel your automatic renewal and want to do so via the Nintendo eShop, then this is what you've got to do:

- Choose which account you want to cancel
- Tap the user icon in the top-right corner to find your Account Information
- Highlight 'Nintendo Switch Online' on the left side of the screen
- Select 'Terminate Automatic Renewal'
That's it, you're now free of the automatic renewal, though your service won't run out until the specified end date.

How to stop Nintendo Switch Online automatic renewal on the internet
If you'd rather do it via a PC or laptop, or even your phone, then you can do so by following these steps instead:
- Head to the Nintendo website and sign in to your Nintendo Account
- Select Shop Menu
- Select Pass Settings
- Then choose Terminate Automatic Renewal
You'll no longer automatically renew your Nintendo Switch Online service, which means you can choose to renew it or not when your current subscription runs out.
No matter which way you decide to do this, it'll all be sorted once you've followed the above steps. No matter what your reasons are for doing so, these steps will get you out of paying for something you don't want.
