You may be wondering how to leave a clan in Diablo Immortal. Maybe you rushed into it too quickly, and now you are wondering how to get out. It's the wrong crowd. They play at times when you desperately need to sleep. Maybe you don't enjoy their 'banter'.

Whatever the situation, it's actually pretty easy to leave a clan. You just need to know what you're doing. And unlike a relationship, you don't need to make awkward excuses about how it's not them, it's you. It's definitely them. But you won't need to pack a box with all your stuff in it and move back in with your parents.

Here's everything you need to know about leaving a clan, and joining a new one that is more closely aligned to your playing style.

How To Leave And Join A Clan Guild In Diablo Immortal

Before we get into it, we'll explain a little about what a clan is, and why they matter.

A clan is a group of players who have organised under a specific identity. You may join a clan so you can play with your friends. Or maybe because you needed help in a specific part of the game. For some, joining a clan allows them to play the Shadows vs Immortals Cycle of Strife endgame, which offers access to certain perks and missions.

Joining a clan isn't essential though, and maybe after trying it, you've decided it isn't for you. So let's cover how to leave a clan.

How To Leave A Clan

As we mentioned earlier, leaving a clan is actually very simple. All you need to do is this:

  • Navigate to your Clan/Guild Roster
  • Click on your name
  • Select Leave Clan

When you do this, you will leave the clan. No questions asked, and no permission is required from the clan leader. It's quick, easy and painless.

The situation does differ slightly if you are the clan leader, however. If you no longer wish to be in the clan, then you can simply leave it. But doing so will disband the clan, and the other members may not be overly happy about this.

You do have the option of giving control of the clan to someone else. This means the clan will live on, but you can get on with doing whatever it is you wanted to do.

If you choose to destroy the group, then it's probably good manners to let everyone know that's what you intend to do.

Bear in mind as well, that if you created the clan, you will have invested 10000 gold to do so. You will lose this gold when you leave, whether or not you destroy the clan, or hand it over to another player.

How To Join A Clan

Of course, you may have left a clan, and after a while of playing solo, you feel ready to join another gang. Or, maybe you're just starting out, and want some help from more experienced players.

Once again, joining a clan is a relatively easy process. But there are some criteria you need to meet first:

  • You need to be Level 30 or above to access the Clans Tab.
  • You then need to unlock the clan feature by accepting the Opening The Way Quest. To do this, find it on the Bounty Board in Westmarch.

Once you've done this:

  • Open the Adventurer Tab.
  • Click on Clan Details.
  • This will provide a list of Clans. You can choose which one to join.

Clans have a maximum capacity of 150 members (although this number may change). A player can choose any clan that isn't full. Alternatively, if a friend is already in a clan, they can send you an invite, or ask an Officer to invite you into the clan.
