Steve and Alex from Minecraft are joining Super Smash Bros Ultimate: Here's everything you need to know

Nintendo's Super Smash Bros Ultimate was already a ridiculously massive crossover title for the gaming world, and it just got a little bit bigger - Steve and Alex from Minecraft are joining the game in its next DLC add-on!

The news was announced in a special live-stream video, which you can watch right here...

"Steve and Alex are part of the second Challenger Pack in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2," Nintendo confirmed in a follow-up statement, "which also includes a new stage and seven music tracks from the Minecraft series."

How to get Steve and Alex from Minecraft in Super Smash Bros

As for how you can get involved, Nintendo says this: "Steve and Alex will be available to players who purchase Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2 or who purchase Challenger Pack 7 separately for Ā£5,39/ā‚¬5,99 on Nintendo eShop.

"By purchasing Fighters Pass Vol. 2 for Ā£26,99/ā‚¬29,99 on Nintendo eShop, players will get access to Steve and Alex, along with previously released fighter Min Min from ARMS and four more yet-to-be-announced Challenger Packs as they release. Each pack includes one fighter, one stage and multiple music tracks."

When will Steve and Alex from Minecraft arrive in Super Smash Bros?

Steve and Alex, alongside Zombie and Enderman alternate skins, will be available for download on October 13 as part of the Fighter's Pass Vol. 2.

Aside from these characters and the Minecraft stage, fans will also be able to buy a variety of new Mii costumes. These include Creeper, Pig and Diamond Armour skins from Minecraft and a few extras from outside the game, including Gil, Bomberman and Travis from the No More Heroes series.

This announcement came after the original trailer reveal, with Sakurai presenting a 45-minute demo of Steve in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on October 3, which you can view below.
