If you're one of the lucky few who has one of the new AMD Radeon 6000 graphics cards, you may find that a driver update is available.
This 'Adrenalin' update seemingly gives a boost in framerate to the recently released 'The Medium', a game that has received polarising reviews.
But it looks like AMD owners who have been enjoying the game, have something to look forward to when they install this update.
With that, lets see what the update entails.
What's the AMD Radeon Update?
The 'Adrenalin' update is named 21.2.1, which is supposedly optimised just for 'The Medium'.
It states of an "..Up to 9% increase in performance in The Medium @ 4K High settings, with Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 21.2.1 on the 16GB Radeon™ RX 6800XT graphics card, versus the previous software driver edition 21.1.1."
AMD have apparently been testing the game on their own PC setups, featuring specs of a Ryzen 9 5900X CPU, a resolution of 4K and 16GB DDR RAM.
The update is out now, so if you have a 6000 card, or a 6800XT in particular, get updating.

How much does it improve The Medium?
The release notes state 'up to 9% increase in performance', which could be between 6 and 12 FPS, depending on the framerate you run it on.
A YouTuber has documented the slight improvement in a useful video that shows an increase in three frames at 'High' settings.
It's interesting that AMD have brought this update only to their latest 6000 cards, and with stock in sparse supply, a few will only reap the benefit here.
However, it's encouraging to see a company focus optimisations on one game, and we may see another update coming to their older-gen cards in due course for the game.
