When it comes the Google Pixel 7 release date, we've got our ear the ground for any and all information we can get to give us a clue as to when it will hit shelves.

Both the Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro are rumoured to be on the way, and they could see yet more improvements to cameras, chipsets, and more.

Information is a little thin on the ground at the moment on both phones, with the Google Pixel 6a drawing the spotlight (and Nothing Phone 1), but there have been some intriguing leaks, renders, and theories circulating around, and we're on high-alert for anything that can give us some clues as to what to expect.

Here's everything we know so far as we head into April, and be sure to check back in with us for the latest updates.

Google Pixel 7 Release Date Predictions

So right now, we haven't got a concrete release date just yet, however, according to GizmoChina, as spotted by ahmedabadmirror.com, we could be see the Pixel 7 arrive sooner than we thought.

Previously the Google Pixel 6 was released on the 25th October 2021, with the Google Pixel 6 Pro releasing just days after, giving us an estimated release date of October 2022 for the Pixel 7, but GizmoChina claims that 'the upcoming phones are about a month ahead of the Pixel 6 series scheduled'.

That means that we could see a release as early as September.

The jury is still out as to how long the gap will be between the 7 and 7 Pro release dates, but we can't see any reason why it would be more than a few days.

There are of course understandable concerns around delays due to chip shortages, that we saw plague the technology industry last year, but we're hoping that it will be smooth sailing this time around.

Google Pixel 7 Latest Leaks

As usual, the rumour mill is spinning with gusto at the moment, so let's break down everything we know so far about the Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro.

Google Pixel 7 Design

Recently, we saw renders of both the Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro, that could give us an idea of what to expect, if they turn out to be accurate that is.

One of initial differences we can see is that the cameras themselves look a lot bigger than the Google Pixel 6. Now bigger isn't always better, but when it comes to cameras you could argue it is in many cases, so we're excited to see more information on this trickle in over the coming months.

In terms of sizing, according to androidpolice, rumours suggest that the Google Pixel 7 Pro will be roughly the same size as the 6 Pro ( 163mm x 76.7mm x 8.7mm), but could be slightly thinner.

Whether this carries through the Google Pixel 7, is yet to be seen, but assumed in many cases.

Google Pixel 7 Camera

So, as mentioned, it looks like the cameras themselves could be bigger than ever, but what about the selfie camera?

Well, back in August 2021, as spotted by letsgodigital, Google patented a form of under-display camera technology. This would mean the highly anticipated 'invisible' selfie camera.

That could be a big win for Google Pixel 7, so we're interested to see how that pans out.

Google Pixel 7 Specs

While not confirmed, there are some expectations around the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.

Some predict that the Pixel 7 will have a 6.3" display, with the Pro getting a 6.7" variation. The Pro model is also predicted to support high refresh rates (120hz) and use a LTPO panel.

An LTPO panel is short for Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide and allows for variable refresh rates and more efficient power consumption.

It's also claimed that the standard Pixel 7 will have a non-LTPO display and offer a max of 90hz refresh rate.

We'll have to wait until confirmation from Google themselves, but these specs don't exactly sound unbelievable in our opinion, so we're keen to see if they match up when we hear more.

Google Pixel 7 Chipset

It's not secret that it's highly likely the Google Pixel 7 will include a new Tensor chipset, as Google go down the Apple route of creating their own chipsets for their devices.

The Tensor 2 was originally found in some Android code, and there were more rumours that pointed to two different Tensor 2 powered phones under Cheetah and Panther code names.

Google Pixel 7 Price

It's thought that the Google Pixel 7 will come in at roughly the same level as the Google Pixel 6, which starts at around $599/ £599, with the Google Pixel 7 Pro starting at $899/ £849.

We'll keep you posted when we hear more!
