Sony Santa Monica has announced the God of War Ragnarök graphics settings on PS4 and PS5 for the upcoming game. Now that the highly-anticipated title is upon us, Kratos fans can rest assured that the game is going to look really good.
After God of War (2018) got a performance update for the PS5 that makes the gorgeous game look even better, fans have high expectations for the sequel. Thankfully, there is a bevy of options for PlayStation 5 owners to choose from, though PS4 owners likely know what they’re getting.
Overall, the God of War Ragnarök graphics settings appear to be satisfactory for PS5 owners and sufficient enough for PS4 users. Fans will be able to see how the game performs when it comes out next week, on November 9.

The Sony Santa Monica Twitter account revealed the God of War Ragnarök graphics settings, letting fans know the ways this game will look great. As many fans are expecting, there are many more options for the PS5 version and PS4 settings are only for the PS4 Pro. This means that fans with the base version of the last-gen system should just ignore this.

It seems that the PS5 is still struggling with having 4K graphics and 60 FPS quality, as the settings above show. Fans have come to expect more from next-gen consoles like the PS5, given how much more powerful they are from the last-gen, so this is a bit disappointing.
For those unaware, 60 FPS, short for frames per second, ensure that the controls respond faster and the game’s visuals move quicker. While 30 FPS isn’t bad, it’s the bare minimum for most video games these days, and consoles like the PS5 should do more than the bare minimum. Meanwhile, PS4 owners have essentially accepted their lot in life in regards to buying the last-gen version of the game.
