Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot PS5 upgrade release date has been officially revealed.

Are you ready to kame-hame-ha? Gamers can't wait to go back to fighting and are asking themselves: when will the upgrade be dropped and what will be its features? Well, we are here to answer!

Let us start with a bit of good news: if you already own Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot on PS4 on your digital library, then the PS5 upgrade is free for both the main game and its DLCs.

Let's take a closer look at what the upgrade will feature and its release date.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot PS5 release date

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, after being successfully released in 2020 on previous generation consoles, is now being upgraded to PlayStation 5.

The Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot PS5 upgrade has been released on the 13th of January 2023, so you might want to check your PS4 to see if you've already received the upgrade.

The PS5 upgrade speeds up the gameplay to 60 FPS, also bringing some noticeable graphical touch-ups and improved loading times. The Card Warriors minigame is also, now, available for offline solo play.

The PS5 edition of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is priced at 59.99$ and it is available on the PlayStation store.

Season 2 DLCs

Along with the graphical update, Bandai Namco has also announced a fourth DLC expansion pack to be unleashed on that same date: Bardock - Alone Against Fate. This is the first for Season 2, with promises of two more to come, which haven't been announced as of yet. A Season 2 pass is available for purchase at 40$.

Fans of the series and its universe will also be pleased to know that there is a Digital Deluxe Edition available, priced at 84.99$. Included in the pack there is the base game, a special cooking item which gives your character permanent Ki-ATK and HP Stat boosts, and the first Season Pass. The first season includes two previously released DLCs: A New Power Awakens and Trunks: The Warrior of Hope.

Finally, for true Dragon Ball fans, there is the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Legendary Edition which includes both season passes, two special cooking items and a Tao Pai Pai Pillar. The Legendary Edition is available on the PlayStation store for 119.99$

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S editions are available on January 13, 2023.
