Disney Dreamlight Valley is quickly becoming one of the more popular “chill” games in a similar vein to Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. As the game will be constantly updated, some players have been asking for quality of life (QOL) improvements, which is angering fans of the genre.

Considering the game’s reputation for being chill and relaxing, the fact that players want it to be easier is questionable. While mocking someone’s skill level in a video game is horrid and should not be done, requesting an easygoing game to be easier is a step too far.

More updates will be coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley and they will try to fix some of the game’s issues. It’s doubtful that they will make the game easier but you never know what might happen, especially if fan demand ends up being really strong.

On Reddit, one fan of the game says they disagree with some of the QOL improvements that some players want for Dreamlight Valley. Some of these requested features include crafting sprinklers to make watering easier, having followers mine automatically, making sure all the items in Scrooge’s shop are new, and more.

However, fans of the game and the farming sim genre in general feel that those QOL improvements aren’t needed at all. The argument from these players is it would ruin the gameplay loop that makes these kinds of games enjoyable for many.

"I played animal crossing everyday and now I play this game more. I enjoy the length of time it takes to do challenges like you mentioned. And I like that the valley is huge so it does take some time to move around," says aussmith000.

"This game's main appeal is the really the mindless loop with Disney characters. If you automate it all what else is there to do," says Lmb1011.

Some players probably want to progress in Disney Dreamlight Valley a bit faster but that sort of ruins the goal of the game. In the end, players should just enjoy their time farming and having fun with their Disney pals. More characters and stories are coming to the game so there’s always more to come back to.
