If you wish to hop between different servers, you must know how to change servers in Diablo Immortal. It's pretty straightforward, except when you encounter a connection error.
Diablo Immortal is a massively multiplayer online action RPG, and like most MMO games, it lets you play on any server that you want. So, if you wish to play Diablo Immortal with your friend who is on another server, you can easily do so by simply connecting to that server.
Read on and we'll show you how to change your server in Diablo Immortal.
How To Change Servers In Diablo Immortal
Diablo Immortal will automatically select the best server for you to play on when you load it for the first time. However, you can still change servers at any time. The process of changing servers in Diablo Immortal is pretty straightforward.
If you’re playing the game for the first time (before creating a character), you will see the server you are connected to at the bottom of the main menu. To change the server:
- Just click on the current server at the bottom of the main menu (above Tap to Play).
- Then, select the region you wish to pick your server from.
- Finally, select the server of your choice.
You can change the server even after starting the game (after creating your character). However, you will not be able to transfer your character between servers. This means you will need to create a new character on the new server. To change the server:
- Go to the main menu by selecting Leave game.
- Click on the server you are currently connected to (above Tap to Play)
- Then, select the region you wish to pick your server from.
- Finally, select the server of your choice.
And you are done! It is that simple. It is quite disappointing that Diablo Immortal doesn't let you transfer your character to another server. But will Diablo Immortal add cross-server play in the future? Let's find out!

How To Transfer Diablo Immortal Character To Another Server
As of now, Diablo Immortal doesn't support cross-server play or allow you to transfer your character to another server. This is because each server has its own Immortals, Shadows and Adventurer groups.
So, if you wish to play with your friends across different servers, you will have to create a new character on each server. But there is good news for you.
The Diablo Immortal Global Community Lead Adam Fletcher hinted on Twitter that they might add cross-server play in the future. He said: "Maybe that [cross server play] changes in the future but for launch, you will play solely w/ your server."
So, follow Diablo Immortal on Twitter to stay updated with all the latest news and announcements. The cross-server play feature can drop in anytime.
